Zhayry (1973)

The action of the film takes place in a small Armenian village. After completing his education, Alexander returns to his native village with the aim of using the knowledge he has acquired to make the lives of the villagers a little easier. He comes out against Grigor Agha, who is engaged in usury and has accumulated great wealth thanks to it. A group of villagers turn to Alexander, complaining about Grigor Agha, who demands back several times more than the money they lent. Alexander takes over the defense of their case.
