The film tells about the life of the Kurds who wandered in Transcaucasia, about their struggle with tsarist officials. One of the Kurdish tribes that spread their tents along the slopes of Ararat and Alagez is ruled by Majid Agha. The poor are groaning: the son of Majid Agha, Timur Beg, his wild, violent and vain nature crushes them with extortions. Timur took a liking to Zare, the bride of the shepherd Saido. Timur is not used to thinking for long. But Zare’s father rejected his matchmaking. Then Timur decided to remove Saido from his path.
