Anush (1930)

The film recreates the life and customs of Armenia in the 60s of the 19th century. Anush, a girl from a wealthy family, fell in love with the shepherd Saro. One day during a traditional wrestling feast, Saro defeats Mosi, the brother of his beloved. Moshi decides to repay Saro for his defeat. Anush, who stood up for her lover, ends up in prison.
