KhasPush (Khas-Push) (1927)

The film takes place in Iran at the end of the 19th century. The film told about the uprising of the “khas-pushas” - impoverished peasants and artisans - against the British colonialists and those who sold themselves to foreigners of the Shah and his entourage. The uprising is started by merchants and clergy, who are afraid of foreign competition and involve the Khas-Pushes in the fight. But soon the merchants and clergy withdraw from the fight, treacherously exposing the masses to the defeat of the Shah's executioners.
